WOYWW 643 Junk Journals

Using the free September image at Gecko Galz I created this lovely image.

My 3 ATC's for the Sherlock Holmes swap at Gecko Galz.

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for a peak at other crafty work desks.  It's time for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  Here I am working away on a junk journal or as it turned out several junk journals.  I ended up with 10 signatures each within an envelope cover.  My large guillotine is on the floor, my deckle one on the table.  Only 3 of these signatures fit in the cover I have for them, but I have two covers the same, so that accounts for 6, leaving me with 4 spare.

I surrounded myself with all the junk journal stuff I have been collecting - paper bags. free papers, bought papers, greaseproof decorated papers, handmade papers.  I decorated the flap side of the envelopes, then I added 8 -10 pages of different sizes.  I used clips to keep the pages in place and then took the completed pile upstairs to my sewing machine.

I watched a YouTube video by Pam of Paper Outpost  I find her videos both funny and informative.  She explained that you could use different sized paper pieces and that they could be lined up with one or more edges or left in the middle.  The little diagram below is just to give a better idea of options for placing papers.

Most of the centres have a page like this.   I added a bit of lace after sewing the last one and realised it probably would be easier to add lace before  sewing down the middle.

So I have covers to decorate and the signatures to fit inside cover.
Off now to link up at Julia's Stamping Ground and have a delightful tour of workdesks!  Come and join me do!
