As for the little poem March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers, it seems to me that March is trying to catch up. This is our third windy windy April day! The kind of wind that parts your hair in the back and wraps it around your face. No need in even trying to fix your hair to go to town.
I've piddled around in my teeny tiny sewing room the last couple of nights and did manage to finish up another apron and bonnet. The red print turned out pretty good...
It's almost impossible to find a spot on the bed to lay out a yard of fabric where there's not a kitty cat napping or waiting...
to grab anything that touches the bed. Poppy says, "run them off", but I can't hurt their feelings. They just want to be with me...
This apron I put together with scraps of different fabrics and it turned out rather old fashioned looking...
and the bonnet too. Not a match really but okay...
A bunch of bonnets...oh, and see the Jane Eyre movie there on the sewing machine table. The new TV/VCR is hooked up and ready to go. I love it! But haven't watched my favorite old VCR tape yet. There's just not enough hours in the day!
a few more bonnets...
Better get busy. I'm off to Belk's in Henderson to return a coffee maker. Poppy and I went all out and bought a nice one this time...$132.00 we paid by the time shipping and taxes were added on. Anyway, I hate the new coffee maker. We haven't had a good cup of coffee since we bought the thing. It drips coffee constantly! The coffee maker we had before was a small cheap, less than 15.00 Sunbeam. It made a good cup of coffee and was still working after about eight years of service. Every morning we expected to find that old Sunbeam in the kitchen dead. The day we plugged in the new fancy coffeemaker, Poppy dropped the little Sunbeam off at Dumperoo's old home place...the Moulton Road dumpster site.
Happy Easter! Hope to be back soon.
Love,
Henny
