When Joseph Irungu aka Jowie announced that he was going to do music the whole
nation thought it was a bluff until he proved them wrong by releasing his gospel single “Nishikilie” that has since received it’s fair share of critics and positive feedback.
Despite the drama going on in his life with his murder trial and the continued roller-coaster between him and his ex fiance Jacque Maribe Jowie doesn’t seem to be quitting gospel industry and Kenyans should get used to him. Among the people who have welcomed the murder suspect is gospel singer Mercy Masika who shared his song on her Instagram page saying she is glad to appreciate people who make decisions, God is about us turning to where we are called and all things work together for the good of those who love him.
“Am glad to say I appreciate people who make decisions. God is about us turning to where we are called, and all things work together for the good of those who love Him.”
In his song, he also thanks God for being by his side throughout the period he was behind bars.
He quotes Psalms 31:15, “My times are in Thy hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from them that persecute me,” as he appears to ask God to save him from his court tribulations.
In his lyrics, Jowie tells the Almighty to deliver him from his enemies and thanks Him for wiping his tears and being his solid rock.
The video of the song captures him in a deserted place with nowhere to turn, which probably captures his suffering after he was arrested and thrown into jail.

Well we hope God would see him again through his murder trial so that his music
career continues to blossom.
